She was part of the only trial team to secure a punitive damages verdict in the Pradaxa litigation, and one of the youngest lawyers appointed to the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee in In Re: Elmiron (Pentosan Polysulfate Sodium) Products Liability Litigation. At the Wagstaff Law Firm, Emily continues the Firm's steadfast commitment to seeing corporate polluters held accountable.
Emily has been appointed by courts to serve on multiple Plaintiffs' Steering Committees, where she has helped shape the national litigation strategy in MDLs (and post-multi-district litigations) involving some of the largest consumer product, pharmaceutical, and medical device manufacturers. She is currently a member of the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee in In Re: Hair Relaxer Marketing, Sales Practices, and Products Liability Litigation. She has taken hundreds of depositions, handled expert development and cross-examinations, and authored pivotal briefs in both state and federal court. She has successfully argued before judges in California, Texas, Illinois, Georgia, West Virginia, and Missouri, and tried cases to verdict in numerous state and federal courts.
In addition to product liability, Emily represents survivors of sexual abuse, both in civil litigation and confidential mediations, fighting to hold institutions accountable for failing to protect the vulnerable.
Her peers and the legal press have consistently recognized Emily as one of the leading mass tort attorneys under 40. She has been named to Best Lawyers, National Trial Lawyers 40 Under 40, High Stakes Litigators, and Super Lawyers – Rising Stars, honoring her effectiveness in high-stakes litigation and her commitment to justice.
Emily brings not only skill, but heart, to every case. At the Wagstaff Law Firm, she helps clients tell their stories, challenge systemic wrongdoing, and pursue justice in the face of overwhelming corporate corruption and misuse of power.
