Emily T. Acosta has spent her entire career handling serious personal injury and wrongful death cases. She is a tireless and creative advocate, who has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for clients hurt by dangerous drugs, medical devices, and consumer products. In the nearly six years since becoming a member of the plaintiffs' bar, Emily has tried cases alleging defects in a wide range of products, including Roundup weedkiller, Bard IVC filters, transvaginal mesh, talcum powder, and blood thinners, like Pradaxa. She has also represented victims of clerical or other sexual abuse both in court and in private mediations.
Throughout her career, she has taken hundreds of fact and expert witness depositions, authored critical briefs, and argued before state and federal court judges in multiples states. She has tried cases in Illinois, Missouri, West Virginia, Georgia, Texas, and California.
Emily has also been recognized on a number of occasions by various organizations, including Best Lawyers, National Trial Lawyers, and Super Lawyers, as one of the best mass tort and product liability attorneys under 40, and been Court-appointed to serve on a number of Plaintiffs' Steering Committees.
