Elisa Dettloff was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Northern
Arizona University where she sat as the Community Service and Philanthropy Officer in her Greek organization. Moving to Denver, Colorado, she pursued dual master's degrees in criminal justice and public administration at the University of Colorado Denver.
During her tenure at CU Denver, she interned with the Sexual Assault Response Team in the 10th Judicial District, contributing as a research assistant and conducting a field study. Her research results were published and led to enhanced improvement in the police department's handling of sexual assault and domestic violence cases, setting a benchmark for neighboring districts. Concurrently, she served as a Graduate Assistant at the university where she taught an introductory criminal justice class. She was ultimately nominated as Most Outstanding Student in the graduate program.
Joining Wagstaff Law Firm as a legal assistant in January 2021, Elisa swiftly ascended to the role of Director of Litigation Management. She oversees the litigation department and acts as a key liaison between our case management company, referring firms, and other stakeholders. Her dedication and accomplishments earned her an honorable mention for the Administrator of the Year award with Milestone.
Outside of her professional commitments, Elisa remains actively engaged as an alumna of CU Denver and participates in organizations like the National Honors Society for Public Administration and National Honors Society for Criminal Justice. She also appreciates spending time in the Colorado mountains with her loved ones and plans to attend law school in 2025, aspiring to practice as a litigating attorney in the future.
