Tara King is an Associate Attorney with the Wagstaff Law firm. She focuses her practice primarily on mass torts and complex civil litigation. Tara is a passionate advocate and represents clients with transparency, integrity and empathy.
Prior to joining The Wagstaff Law Firm, Tara began her career in Complex Settlement/Fund Administration and Mass Tort Healthcare Compliance. She then worked for a St. Louis-based law firm specializing in pharmaceutical and product device litigation, where she coordinated all aspects of the practice. Most recently Tara was running another St. Louis-based firm's mass tort department as well as handling complex subrogation issues for the firm's asbestos department.
Tara completed her legal studies at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where she completed a joint degree program, earning both her Juris Doctorate and a Masters Certificate in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Tara received a Merit Scholarship to the College of Law, as well as a full University Scholarship to the Graduate School. While completing her academic studies, Tara also served as an officer in multiple organizations and was a Senior Articles Editor for The Human Rights Quarterly.
Tara is very involved in The American Association for Justice (AAJ) and is a graduate of AAJ's Leadership Academy. Tara serves on multiple committees within AAJ, including the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and is the Co-Chair of Trial Lawyers Care. Tara also serves on the Missouri Association for Trial Attorneys' Women's Caucus.
Tara is originally from Lewiston, New York, and will be residing in Denver, with her son, her dog and her son's cat “Tom Brady”. Tara enjoys spending time with her son and appreciates fine art and music.
